“Life was too small to contain her.”

Cambridge, 1956, is where Sylvia Plath (Gwyneth Paltrow) meets Ted Hughes (Daniel Craig), and the poems start almost as soon as the marriage does. Christine Jeffs follows the two poets from that first meeting through the years that follow, with Al Alvarez (Jared Harris) among the writers around them. Sylvia keeps writing as the marriage strains, and every page she finishes costs her more than the last.
