Szamanka

“She's a machine.”

Michał (Bogusław Linda) is an anthropology professor whose life narrows to two fixations. One is the mummified body of a shaman, three thousand years old and perfectly preserved, which he and his colleagues have hauled out of a swamp. The other is the Italian (Iwona Petry), a student he meets by chance at a railway station. Andrzej Żuławski sets the two obsessions side by side, and the story turns on the question of which of them really owns Michał.
