T-34

In 1944, Nikolay Ivushkin (Alexander Petrov), a Soviet tank commander held in German captivity, is put to work with a half-destroyed T-34 and the crew who have to climb back inside it. Klaus Jäger (Vinzenz Kiefer) is the German officer overseeing them, and Anya (Irina Starshenbaum) is among the prisoners. Alexey Sidorov stages the fighting at close range, packing the film into steel, noise and not much room.
