“Don't fall .. rise in love.”

Manav Mehta (Akshaye Khanna), a wealthy young businessman, falls for Mansi Shankar (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a village girl with a gift for singing and hopes of a career. Subhash Ghai sets their romance to a run of big songs, and then Manav has to leave, just as Vikrant Kapoor (Anil Kapoor), her smooth manager, moves into the space he has left. It is a story about how far love can stretch across distance before another man's attention fills the gap.
