Tabu

“Aurora had a farm in Africa, at the foot of Mount Tabu…”

A mysterious past has left Aurora an old woman in Lisbon in 2010, gambling compulsively and quarreling with the world around her. Her neighbor Pilar (Teresa Madruga), a devout woman who gives her time to social causes, keeps looking after her anyway. Miguel Gomes follows Pilar's patience toward a neighbor who will not explain herself, and what that kindness asks of her.
