“Everyone says he should date girls his own age. Oscar respectfully disagrees.”

Oscar Grubman (Aaron Stanford) is fifteen, speaks fluent French, reads Voltaire, and believes a woman's hands say more about her than anything else. Heading home from Chauncey Academy for Thanksgiving weekend, he tells his best friend he plans to win the heart of his true love, who is Eve (Sigourney Weaver), his father's wife. Gary Winick follows Oscar through the holiday, a boy with a rehearsed speech and no idea what to do once he's said it.
