“We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”

Hogan "Hoagie" Malloy (Ed Helms) has spent every May since the first grade chasing the same four friends, and being chased by them, in a game of tag. This year they plan to take down Jerry Pierce (Jeremy Renner), the one player who has never been caught, while he is busy getting married. Jeff Tomsic puts the five of them through a month of ambushes, and the real contest is whether the friendship outlasts the game.
