Word has gone around the Wolves clubhouse that the team has been left to a new owner named K.C. Higgins, and the players expect a meddling fathead. Instead K.C. (Esther Williams) turns out to be a beautiful woman who knows her baseball, and second baseman Dennis Ryan (Frank Sinatra) falls for her at once. Busby Berkeley sets it in Technicolor, while a lovestruck infielder tries to work out what to say to the boss.
