Takva: A Man's Fear of God

“I just wanted to be a good person.”

Muharrem (Erkan Can) prays through the nights in a bare room and keeps to himself, until the head of a powerful religious order in Istanbul (Meray Ülgen as the Seyh) offers him a job collecting rent on the group's many properties. Özer Kızıltan follows him out of his seclusion into streets and apartments full of people who drink, haggle and live differently than he does. The Seyh trusts his devotion, but his faith has never had to deal with the world until now.
