Tales from Earthsea

(2006)Directed by Goro Miyazaki116 min · PG-13Animation, Fantasy, Adventure
“Once Man and Dragon were one. Man chose Land and Sea, Dragon chose Wind and Fire.”

The crops are failing across Earthsea, and dragons have started appearing where they were never meant to be seen. Archmage Sparrowhawk and Arren (Junichi Okada), a troubled young prince, set out to find what is pulling the land out of balance. Goro Miyazaki, directing for the first time, draws on Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea books and his father Hayao's graphic novel Shuna's Journey.
