“A Trilogy of Shock and Horror!”

Each of three men in Tales of Terror wants a thing the people around him will not give, and Vincent Price plays the lead in all three, as Locke, Fortunato and Valdemar. Roger Corman and screenwriter Richard Matheson take Poe's stories, a returning daughter, a wine-tasting contest, a dying man agreeing to be hypnotized, and cast Peter Lorre and Basil Rathbone alongside him. The wants are small and domestic, and the film treats them as seriously as any grave.
