“A journey into a world where legends come to life. Dreams come true. And every boy is a hero.”

Daniel Hackett (Nick Stahl) is a farm boy in the old West who has come to hate the land his family works. Then the land baron J.P. Stiles (Scott Glenn) wounds his father and tries to take the farm, and Daniel falls asleep in a boat on a lake. He wakes beside Pecos Bill (Patrick Swayze) and Paul Bunyan (Oliver Platt), two legends, in a world Jeremiah S. Chechik fills with wide prairie and tall men.
