Tango

Mario Suárez (Miguel Ángel Solá) is a director in Buenos Aires, deep into a staged tango film, when a dangerous love affair starts to take over his work. Carlos Saura and cinematographer Vittorio Storaro shoot the dancers in saturated color, with the lovers and rehearsals folding into one another. The film treats tango as the place where longing and desire get said out loud with the body.
