Tap

“Sometimes, no matter what, you can't escape the rhythm.”

Nobody at the hoofer club knows what Max Washington (Gregory Hines) will do with himself now that he's out of prison, least of all Max. His old partners in crime already have another job lined up, while Little Mo (Sammy Davis Jr.) has a show in mind with Max at the center of it. Nick Castle puts Max back in front of Amy (Suzzanne Douglas), the club's tap instructor and Mo's daughter, who is not glad to see him.
