Tarzan

(1999)Directed by Chris Buck, Kevin Lima88 min · GAnimation, Family, Adventure
“An immortal legend as you've only imagined.”

A leopard kills a young couple's household in the African jungle, and a gorilla named Kala (Glenn Close) carries their orphaned baby home to raise as her own. Tarzan (Tony Goldwyn) grows up swinging through the trees beside his friend Terk (Rosie O'Donnell), until Jane Porter (Minnie Driver) arrives on an expedition. Chris Buck and Kevin Lima animate his jungle in sweeping, vine-swinging motion, with the drawn characters moving as fluidly as he does.
