Tarzan Escapes

“It's New! It's amazing! 2 years to produce!”

Captain Fry (John Buckler), a white hunter, comes into the jungle intending to carry Tarzan (Johnny Weissmüller) back to civilization and show him off in a cage. He travels with Eric (William Henry) and Rita Parker (Benita Hume), Jane's cousins, who want her help claiming a fortune left in her name. Richard Thorpe stages the chases and swings at a run, with Weissmüller and Maureen O'Sullivan as Jane at the center of every scene.
