Tarzan's Secret Treasure

“The Greatest Tarzan Is Back!”

On Tarzan's escarpment in the jungle, a scientific expedition led by Professor Elliott (Reginald Owen) stumbles onto gold in the rock. Two of the party, Medford and Vandermeer, take Jane (Maureen O'Sullivan) and Boy (Johnny Sheffield) hostage to force the location out of Tarzan (Johnny Weissmüller). Richard Thorpe's film was printed in sepiatone, so the escarpment and the river below it all turn the warm brown of an old photograph.
