Tchaikovsky's Wife

Why would a young woman from the Russian aristocracy, who could have anyone, want only the composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky (Odin Lund Biron)? Antonina Milyukova (Alyona Mikhaylova) fell for him the moment she heard his music, and he agrees to marry her. Kirill Serebrennikov follows her through the years of humiliation that come after, and he keeps the camera on her face while the marriage empties out around her.
