“LOVE TRAGEDY. CONCEAL SECRET. BETRAYAL.”

Dum (Chartchai Ngamsan) grows up a peasant's son and falls in love with Rumpoey (Stella Malucchi), the daughter of a wealthy, respected family. Years of separation do not end it, and when tragedy strikes, Dum picks up a gun and becomes the outlaw known as the Black Tiger. Wisit Sasanatieng tells their story as a Thai melodrama of the 1950s and 1960s, played half as tribute and half as joke, and what runs under it is the two of them still reaching for each other.
