“Ted is coming.”

John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) made a Christmas wish as a boy: that his teddy bear Ted would come to life and be his best friend forever. The wish came true, and now Ted still crashes on John's couch, talks like a Boston street-fighter, and sabotages his relationship with Lori (Mila Kunis). MacFarlane's film mines the gap between who we want to become and who our oldest friendships keep us being.
