Temple Grandin
“Autism gave her a vision. She gave it a voice.”
In the 1960s, a young Temple Grandin (Claire Danes) leaves home for a relative's cattle ranch, an autistic woman who thinks in pictures and has been told she will never amount to much. Mick Jackson follows her from there into cattle pens and slaughterhouses, with Professor Carlock (David Strathairn) backing her on the way. The film takes her seriously as a mind that sees what others miss, and treats that difference as a way of working.
