In "Dialect," a taxi driver (Sam Leung Kin-Ping) wants to keep earning his fares, but he no longer speaks the language the city now expects of him. His is one of five short films that imagine a Hong Kong in 2025, among them Wang Hongwei's Cheung Kwan-Cheung in "Extras" and Sam (Liu Kai-chi) in "Local Egg." Made on a shoestring budget, it first played at the Yau Ma Tei cinema, where it outsold Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
