Tenderness of the Wolves

Fritz Haarmann (Kurt Raab) wants company, and in the lean years between the wars he finds it among the lost boys and young men drifting through the railway station. Ulli Lommel, working from a script Raab wrote, follows the man known as the Butcher of Hanover and keeps him a respectable face among the neighbours. Every boy who follows him home is somebody's son, and nobody is looking for them yet.
