Terror in a Texas Town

“When the Texas Plains Ran With Blood and Black Gold!”

A man's father is dead, and George Hansen (Sterling Hayden) has come to a dusty Texas town with a harpoon to find out who is responsible. The suspect is an oilman, Ed McNeil (Sebastian Cabot), who has been buying up the land the Swede's family held. Joseph H. Lewis keeps the camera low and the pace quick, and gives the ending a gunfight unlike anything in the genre.
