“People of Earth: Your planet is about to be destroyed... We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience.”

Stanley Putterman (Gerrit Graham) puts a state-of-the-art satellite dish in the backyard, and a monster climbs out of the television set and starts feeding on people. His kids Sherman (Chad Allen) and Suzy (Diane Franklin), along with her metalhead boyfriend O.D. (Jon Gries), have to work out what to do about it. Ted Nicolaou shoots it in 1986 Empire International colors, the creature still hungry in the living room and the family standing around the screen.
