In 1987 Mumbai, a corrupt officer's raid on the Opera House becomes the model for a crime Tamil Nadu is about to see again. Iniyan (Suriya) has been shut out of the CBI by the bribery he grew up around, so he gathers a gang, hands out badges and puts them in suits. Vignesh Shivan sets the con in motion with Anirudh's music, and Iniyan walks into each office like the real thing.
