Light-Fingered George

(1963)Directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky92 minComedy
“There was nothing wrong with George-- that other people's money couldn't cure!”

Georges Lachaunaye (Bourvil) belongs to an aristocratic family with a name, no money, and a firm objection to work. When the bills pile up, he settles on a plan: emptying the collection boxes in churches. Jean-Pierre Mocky sets him against Chief Inspector Cucherat (Francis Blanche), a policeman whose job puts him on Georges's trail and whose pursuit ties the two men together.
