Thank You for Your Service

“For your courage. For your love. For your sacrifice.”

Sergeant Adam Schumann (Miles Teller) comes home from fifteen months in Iraq to his wife Saskia (Haley Bennett) and their kids, and he cannot make the house feel like his own. The men from his unit are back near Fort Riley too, each trying to fit into civilian life while the war keeps replaying in their heads. Jason Hall, making his directing debut from David Finkel's book, films these homecomings with a plain, unhurried patience.
