“It takes a Siamese secret agent to unravel the PURR-fect crime!”

Patti Randall (Hayley Mills) opens her door one night to find her cat, the wandering Siamese called D.C., home with a wristwatch tangled around his neck. She suspects a kidnapping, and she takes the watch to the FBI, where Zeke Kelso (Dean Jones) is the agent handed the job of following the cat. Robert Stevenson sends the whole neighborhood after one animal, with bank robbers, a hostage and a stubborn young woman's word against everyone's doubt.
