“The Fab Four without the Mop Tops”

Guy Patterson (Tom Everett Scott) is a jazz-loving drummer in 1964 Pennsylvania who wants a way out of his father's appliance store. Then a talent show, a speeded-up song, and a record deal turn his small-town band, the Wonders, into radio stars, and Tom Hanks directs the climb as bright and quick as a jukebox single. Along the way Guy keeps catching the eye of Faye Dolan (Liv Tyler), the bandmate's girlfriend who rides along beside him.
