“Hope Runs Deep”

Mario Sepúlveda (Antonio Banderas) is one of 33 miners who wants only to get through another shift at the San José mine in Chile and go home. When the mountain collapses in 2010, they are sealed underground with little food and no way to signal the surface. Patricia Riggen follows them for 69 days, and the film is about what men owe one another when no one can reach them.
