The 8-Year Engagement

Hisashi (Takeru Satoh) is a young man in love with Mai (Tao Tsuchiya), and the two are three months from their wedding when her heart stops and she falls into a coma. Every morning before work he goes to her hospital room, and her parents Hatsumi (Hiroko Yakushimaru) and Koji (Tetta Sugimoto) urge him to move on, which he refuses. Takahisa Zeze lets the years pass at the bedside, a man in a chair, a woman who does not wake.
