The Absent-Minded Professor

(1961)Directed by Robert Stevenson96 min · GComedy, Family, Science Fiction
“The most amazing discovery since laughter!”

Ned Brainard (Fred MacMurray) is a college professor so lost in his experiments that he has already missed his own wedding to Betsy Carlisle (Nancy Olson). In the basement lab he stumbles onto flying rubber, a springy green material that gains energy each time it strikes a hard surface. Robert Stevenson sets it against Alonzo Hawk (Keenan Wynn), a businessman who wants the Flubber for himself, and the professor's old car sits in the garage with its hood still warm.
