The Ace of Hearts

In 1921, a small secret society meets in the shadows of a city to decide who among its members must die. Lilith (Leatrice Joy) draws the attention of two of them, Forrest (John Bowers) and the group's quieter, watchful figure Farallone (Lon Chaney), and the rivalry sits uneasily beside the society's work. Wallace Worsley lets the dread build slowly, because the member chosen to carry out the killing may be the man who loves her.
