The Acid House

Three stories set in Edinburgh each open on an event that makes no sense, and the film never stops to explain any of them. Irvine Welsh adapted his own short story collection, and he turns up in the film himself, while Maurice Roëves drifts through all three as a drunk wedding guest, a figure in a dream and a man in a pub. Paul McGuigan hands Coco Bryce (Ewen Bremner) and Johnny (Kevin McKidd) lives that are already coming apart.
