“When the family fortune runs out, the laughs rush in.”

A young Boston boy wants his family's lost fortune back, so he stows away on a ship bound for the California Gold Rush. His butler, Bullwhip Griffin (Roddy McDowall), a very proper man, goes after him and lands in the goldfields too. Neilson, working from a Sid Fleischman novel, staged it for Disney with songs by the Sherman brothers and a score by George Bruns.
