Picasso (Gösta Ekman) is already painting when the film begins, and it follows him through his early years, his middle years and the years just before his death, plus a few from in between. Tage Danielsson directs this Swedish farce with Hans Alfredson as Don Jose and Lena Olin as Dolores, and the film is billed as a thousand loving lies. The only thing at risk is the truth, which nobody here seems to be defending.
