The Adversary

Jean-Marc Faure (Daniel Auteuil) wants to be seen as a doctor, a husband and a friend worth trusting, and he works at it every day. His wife Christine (Géraldine Pailhas) and his oldest friend Luc (François Cluzet) believe in the career he describes, though it exists only in what he tells them. Nicole Garcia, adapting Emmanuel Carrère's book on a real case, follows the lie as it takes more and more out of him.
