The Aeronauts

“Soar beyond your limits.”

Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) is a balloon pilot in 1862 who makes her living flying higher than anyone has dared. She takes up James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne), a meteorologist who wants to read the weather from the sky itself, and director Tom Harper puts the two of them in a wicker basket for the long climb. Neither trusts the other's reasons for going, and the thinning air leaves them with only each other.
