The Aftermath

“What comes after World War III?”

Newman (Steve Barkett) is an astronaut coming home from a long mission to find Los Angeles ruled by renegade gangs and mutants after a nuclear war. He and his fellow astronaut fall in with Sarah (Lynne Margulies), another woman, and a couple of kids, a small resistance forming against Cutter (Sid Haig). Steve Barkett directed it as a low-budget independent picture, and the city is shot in grainy, ruined daylight.
