“You will never forget”

In 1836, a few hundred Texan and Tejano volunteers hold an old mission in San Antonio while a Mexican army of thousands marches toward them under Antonio López de Santa Anna (Emilio Echevarría). John Lee Hancock keeps Sam Houston (Dennis Quaid) far to the east, trying to build an army that can fight at all. Inside the walls, the colonel William Travis (Patrick Wilson) and the frontiersman Davy Crockett (Billy Bob Thornton) share a cramped, uneasy command.
