The Alphabet Murders

(1965)Directed by Frank Tashlin90 minComedy, Crime, Mystery
“It's really no mystery why this girl is MURDER... it's as simple as ABC if you look hard enough!”

Hercule Poirot (Tony Randall) has come to London hoping for a quiet retirement, and he would very much like to be left alone with it. Instead the victims keep turning up in alphabetical order, and Captain Hastings (Robert Morley) and Inspector Japp (Maurice Denham) both want him on the case. Frank Tashlin pairs the fussy little Belgian with Amanda Beatrice Cross (Anita Ekberg), and the two of them keep circling each other through the killings.
