The Alto Knights

(2025)Directed by Barry Levinson122 min · RCrime, Drama
“The most dangerous enemy is an old friend.”

In 1950s New York, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (Robert De Niro) are old friends fighting over who runs the city's mob. Barry Levinson directs a script by Nicholas Pileggi, with Costello's wife Bobbie (Debra Messing) and Genovese's wife Anna (Kathrine Narducci) living with the fallout. The rivalry starts in petty jealousies and betrayals, and what remains of the friendship is what Costello and Genovese keep circling back to.
