“Free your mind.”

Why did the machines go to war, and what is the world inside the Matrix hiding? The Animatrix answers in nine short films from anime directors including Koji Morimoto and Peter Chung, with stories like "Final Flight of the Osiris" and "A Detective Story" (Carrie-Anne Moss voices Trinity). Some fill in the history behind the trilogy, others wander off to its edges, and all of them are about people and machines fighting for the same world.
