The Anniversary

“The legendary actress as the most merciless mother of them all”

In 1968 London, Mrs. Taggart (Bette Davis) holds a dinner each year on the anniversary of her husband's death, and her three grown sons are expected to sit at her table. Roy Ward Baker keeps nearly the whole film in one house, where Karen (Sheila Hancock) and the sons gather around a woman who has never been crossed. This year they mean to stand up to her, and the evening depends on whether any of them can.
