The Announcement

“The night long journey of the 4 soldiers discharged from the army.”

Colonel Reha (Ali Seçkiner Alıcı) leads a group of officers into Istanbul on the night of May 22nd, 1963, sent to seize the National Radio station and announce a coup. Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun puts them in the building with a rainstorm outside, no technician, and no word from Ankara. Reha and Major Kemal (Murat Kılıç) have only each other to lean on, and each hour makes it harder to say whether either still believes.
