(1974)Directed by Ted Kotcheff120 min · PGDrama, Comedy
“There's a little bit of Duddy Kravitz in everyone.”

Duddy Kravitz (Richard Dreyfuss), the younger son of a working-class Jewish family in Montreal, wants a name for himself and has no patience for waiting. Ted Kotcheff follows him through a string of get-rich-quick schemes, each one sold with the same loud, hungry confidence. Along the way Duddy's pull toward money tugs at his family and his friends, and the people who care about him start to find out what he'll do to get there.
