Duchess (Eva Gabor), a refined Parisian cat, lives with her three kittens in the home of a wealthy widow who plans to leave them her fortune. The butler, furious at being cut out of the will, abandons the family in the countryside. Duchess and her kittens must find their way back to Paris with help from O'Malley (Phil Harris), but if they don't reach home in time, the fortune goes to the butler instead.
