The Armadillo's Prophecy

Zero (Simone Liberati) is 27, lives in the suburbs, and spends his days in conversation with a human-sized armadillo (Valerio Aprea) that only he can see. The armadillo is his conscience, and their talks keep sliding into arguments that go nowhere. Emanuele Scaringi, adapting Zerocalcare's best-selling graphic novel, plays all of it straight-faced, so the armadillo stays as ordinary a presence as the friends around Zero.
