The Art of Crying

Allan (Jannik Lorenzen) is eleven, living in South Jutland in the early 1970s, and he has decided it is his job to keep his family from coming apart. His father (Jesper Asholt) keeps threatening to kill himself, and his mother (Hanne Hedelund) gave up on all of it long ago. Peter Schønau Fog follows the boy as a rival family moves in on his father's livelihood, and Allan starts doing things no child should, with the whole household resting on him.
